As we approach the release of the upcoming build, we need to focus on game balance to ensure that all the items in the game are properly adjusted. One important aspect of balancing Letalis is to give each weapon type a specific utility, which has been lacking so far.
We currently have seven weapon types: Hands, Swords, Axes, Spears, Maces, Heavy Weapons and Shields
It's important to note that the goal of this balance adjustment isn't to determine which weapon type is better than the others, but rather to ensure that each weapon has a unique role to play in the game. Thanks to the YouTuber Metatron for making the video which gave us the idea of evaluating each weapon type based on their effectiveness against armored and unarmored targets, as well as their range.
By measuring each weapon's attributes in terms of [vs Armor], [vs no Armor], and [Range], we can better understand how to balance the weapons and ensure that each one has a distinct role to play in the game. This will result in a more enjoyable and diverse gameplay experience for all players, also giving more important to the different fighting styles and fighting positions.
